Pineapple and Papaya both contain proteolytic enzymes, which help the body to digest protein.  These enzymes can help ease heartburn, which many women experience during pregnancy.  You can eat fresh pineapple and papaya or look for supplements.  As with any supplements, be sure to discuss with your doctor before taking.
