Has this happened to you? You find yourself running around, trying to get everything done, and just when you need to be at your best, you get sick. Everything stops and you become forced to take care of yourself before everyone else.
It happens to all of us, but what if I told you that it didn’t have to be that way.
I’m not saying that you will never get sick (even the most healthy among us get sick sometimes), but there’s a lot you can control, and one of the most important steps is taking time to slow down.
Slow down, you might be thinking, how can I possibly make time for that?
If you went to your doctor and he or she told you that you had to find time to slow down, doctor’s orders, would you figure out a way to do it?
If your answer was yes, let’s pretend that happened!
Here’s what happens when you slow down, find a little time and space for yourself, and invite some relaxation into your life.
You discover that you are in control of your time.
You reduce your stress, which lowers your cortisol levels and boosts your immune system
You create time to re-evaluate your priorities and reconnect with what’s most important to you
You get to live in the present instead of regretting the past or worrying about the future

Peace, Love, and Wellness,
I have to remind my self often to slow down and remember me. Thanks for this gentle reminder. Great post.
