As the weather warms I grow more in the mood for cooling breakfasts and I find myself floating into another smoothie season. They are a simple treat and a wonderful way to start the day with a burst of energy. Customizable to whatever you may have in your kitchen, it is easy to create new concoctions to keep it fresh. If you feel the need for extra protein or greens for example, this is the perfect place to add them into your day.
I made two variations this morning, one for me and one for Chloe. Both of them had a banana, a handful of spinach and of of grapes, some flax seed oil and some coconut cream. Chloe’s also had some of her cereal, which has much needed iron for her and I threw some strawberries into mine.
In a matter of minutes, we were sitting down to a healthy breakfast together and having a great time and starting our day off packed full of fruits and veggies!
